Hello friends,

Yes, true, we are starting a bit late, but well, we were call on board a bit late too ! But you know, we are so glad to join you all... and we are doing everything we can to be up to the challenge, in so little time.

As a matter of fact, this is not often that Dakar, our city, is part of a global event such as this big "twitter" fest.

In order to maximize impact of Twestival in Dakar, we are going to organize a party at the Centre Media Keewu, after tomorrow, on the 24th. For those who live in Dakar, please feel free to join us at Liberté 6, villa n°17, just by College David Diop. You can call us @ 33 867 45 15.

For this first edition in Dakar, we have decided to train a group of kids. We will use the media center's training room to explain kids how to use computers. This will be our morning task. Then, on the afternoon, we will send messages to our followers, and post pics and texts and this blog. Hopefully we will succeed to join the textival livestream (this mostly will depend on our bandwith on that day).

Above all, we hope to speak up in the name of our country, and city, and let you know what's going on in Senegal on the 24th, introduce you to interesting facts, websites, gigs from our country.

And hopefully, we'll fundraise some cash to train more kids... more info on that by tomorrow.
